For more than 100 years, the O’Brien County Fair has stood as a proud ag-based tradition dedicated to youth, education, and community. Our fair supports local 4-H and FFA members as they showcase an impressive array of livestock and non-livestock projects—nearly 1,550 exhibits each year—alongside educational demonstrations, “Share the Fun” acts, and a strong open-class division. The fair’s excellence has been recognized with the Blue Ribbon Fair Award in both 2007 and 2024. We also celebrate our ties to state fair royalty, being home to the 2011 Iowa State Fair Queen, Paris Schnepf, and the 2025 First Runner-Up, Ashlynn Gunnerson.
